The Stripping and Waxing Process
The process usually involves the following steps:
Stripping: A special stripping detergent is applied to the surface to dissolve the old layers of wax, polymer lacquers, accumulated dirt, and other residues.
Mechanical cleaning: Professional equipment such as single-disc scrubbers or automatic washing machines are used, along with abrasive pads appropriate for the type of flooring, to effectively clean and remove the dissolved layer.
Rinsing and neutralization: The surface is rinsed thoroughly with clean water and, if necessary, neutralized to remove any stripper residue.
Drying: The floor must be completely dry before applying the new protective layer.
Waxing/Application of the protective layer: A new layer of professional emulsion or wax (polymer, wax) is applied to the cleaned surface to protect it against wear, scratches, and stains, giving it a glossy or matte look, depending on the product.
